JOB - GRAPHIC DESIGNER/ILLUSTRATOR
Location — Northcote, Melbourne
Type — Permanent, full time
And your name came up. People mentioned that you like humans or are at least deeply intrigued by them. That’s exactly who we need.
Are you our new Graphic Designer that Illustrates? Or Illustrator that Graphic Designs? Let’s see.
You’re a good designer. Whatever it is, you’ve got it.
And you want to get better. This should go without saying.
You’re independent and confident. Like this bullet point.
You’re about ideas. Pixels are important, but not always what this is about.
You like people. That doesn’t mean you can’t be an introvert. We like introverts. It just means that you are good at working with the rest of us, whether it’s chefs, or other creatives, clients or the people who clean our office.
You’re the punk who shows up on time. You’re organized. You make things happen. You make sure your project stays on budget. And you take deadlines very, very seriously.
You’re just a person in the world. You don’t know everything, and you don’t think you know everything. But you’re curious. You want to know more. After all, it’s a big world.
Now, this position is for a graphic designer focused on product design.
A relevant degree in Graphic Design will be nice.
You know the user-centered product design process from top to bottom.
You like humans or are at least deeply intrigued by them.
You’ve got a bit of experience. You’ve been around. It’s not a numbers game but you’ve probably been a designer for about 1 to 3 years.
You know your way around the usual tools, Adobe Suite, Sketch and all that.
Extra Points - experience with water colours, pencils and analogue devices.
And finally, Serif or Sans-serif?
So, what do you think? Sound like you?
Say hi and introduce yourself – we like to receive colourful CVs. However, be sure to tell us, in writing, why you think that working at Eat Me Chutneys might make a difference to your life, ours and the cosmos. You’re still reading this, which must mean you’re thinking about it. Don’t overthink it, email us. We look forward to knowing you - email@example.com
